Bound in Shadows
Tethered tight, the binds constrict, A silent scream, a cruel edict.
The air is thin, the light withheld, In this cage, my soul dwells.
Blinded paths, guiding stars, Frustrated, a storm swells inside.
Each breath a battle, each thought a fight, To break the dark and find the light.
The First Step.
The binds feel cold and tight, Void of light, it’s a world of shadows.
Deep within, a spark takes hold, A whispered call, fierce and bold.
One step forward, the ground unsure, A crack in darkness, an open door.
Fighting through fear and doubt.
The first step is taken, and finally, a glimpse of light.
Dawn of Discovery.
A crack, a glow, the dark gives way, The birth of hope in golden ray.
Eyes wide with wonder, heart unsure, A trembling joy, so raw, so pure.
What lies beyond? I cannot see, But in this light, I dare to be.
Relief and questions intertwine, A world unknown, yet wholly mine.
